nice ppl around..

i was kinda touched by ppl around me this week..

i forgot to bring my wallet last thursday (5 Nov 09)..only realised it when i was finding my ez link card on the bus..and gosh..had no money..no ez link card..how to continue my journey on the bus..
a nice lady saw me panicking and offered me $2 immediately..so touched..i told her dun need so much..she insisted on giving me the money..

so i went to check with the bus uncle..it was $1..as she was searching for $1 worth of coins, another uncle who was sitting in front of her..found the money first and passed it to me..woah..another kind soul..i asked for hp no from the uncle but he asked me not to worry..i can find him on the bus again the next day.. ( and true enough, i found him on the bus the next day)

what really touched me was that they willingly took out their money to offer me..

similar thing happened the next day (friday, 6 nov 09)..an NS boy has no more cash in his ez link card..he only had $5 to change for smaller notes/ coins..no one had the money to change with him..an auntie just gave him the coins and asked him not to worry too much..

hmm..kindness is everywhere..

but the kindest thing that ever happened to me was when i went for tuition on saturday..took a taxi there.. couldn't find the place.. 12, toh tuck road..the closest we could find was 11, toh tuck road.. the taxi uncle dropped me somewhere near 11 toh tuck road and asked me to check with the security post..i paid him $5.20 and got off the cab.. the uncle continued to wait for me on the taxi.. there was no one at the security post.the building looked kinda deserted.. the uncle asked me to hop onto the car again and he will drive me around to find the place.. (with no meter charge)

in the end, he dropped me off at the condo at 11 toh tuck road.. i crossed the road to check with the security guard if 12 toh tuck road was nearby..he had no idea.. the taxi uncle was still waiting for me at the other side of the road..feeling pai seh.. i asked him to go off first..

so i called the tuition student's auntie.. and to my dismay, 12 toh tuck road is at the other end of 11 toh tuck road..as i listened to the auntie's directions, i slowly made my way up..seems like a loooong walk..
suddenly, i felt a glimpse of hope..and right beside was the taxi uncle.. he actually drove out, made a u turn and came back to look for me..

he kindly asked me to hop on and drove me there.. (with no extra charges).. i wanted to give him extra money.. BUT i only had $5 in his wallet and he kept on gesturing that it was ok..dun need to worry about the money..
im really thankful to the uncle..if not, i would have taken another 10 minutes under the hot sun to reach the house..

hmm..so glad to meet with such nice people..thankful..must really count my blessings.
